FAQ

Are the travel expenses included in your packages or covered additionally?

Travel expenses are covered for all local shoots within 90 miles from Herriman, Utah. Anything beyond will be charged a per mile fee + lodging if necessary. All out of state and international sessions/weddings will be charged based on location + necessary accommodations, i.e.: flights, lodging, car rentals/shuttles, etc.

What if we want something more extreme for our elopement?

I love an out of the box and unique wedding experience. During our connection call, we’ll discuss your vision + define what “extreme” means to you. Haha! But I am almost always down for a unique adventure in a kick ass place!

We want to include our dog into the elopement ceremony and photos, is that okay?

ABSOLUTELY! Dogs are always welcome! So long as the location or venue permits animals, and it is safe for us and them to come along for the ride, I am always happy to have your fur baby tag along!

How long does it take to recieve the photos after the elopement and how will those be delivered?

I take on a limited number of weddings and sessions per year so that I can give ALL of my clients the best customer experience possible. That means being accessible and having reasonably quick turnaround times. High season (May-October), you should expect images returned to you within 6-8 weeks. Low season (November-April), you can expect images within 4-6 weeks. All portrait galleries will be delivered online via a password protected gallery where you may download your images from there. All wedding galleries will be delivered both by an online gallery as well as a tangible USB drive, packaged up super sweetly. Everybody loves getting a gift in the mail, right?! ;)

Do we need a wedding officiant for our elopement? If yes, can you recommend one?

Yes! In most states and countries, you will need an ordained officiant to perform your wedding ceremony to make it legal. If you’d like to sign paperwork with your pastor, minister, ordained friend or government official on another day, you are free to do so. You do not need a witness or officiant to do a symbolic ceremony or private vow exchange. I do have recommendations for officiants in both Portland, Oregon and SLC, Utah.

What if we legally don’t get married on our elopement day?

That is totally fine! Your legal wedding date and your wedding/elopement date doesn’t have to be the same day. It can be a day, a week or more apart, but most US states do require you to have your legal ceremony performed within 30 days of attaining your marriage license from your county clerk’s office.
