They say rain on your wedding day is good luck! Well I guess Ashley + Cal are going to have the best of luck in life and marriage because the rain just kept on coming! Luckily, all of their guests embraced the chilly January rain and came prepared for the elements, umbrellas and great attitudes in tow!

Ashley + Cal were married in a private, traditional ceremony for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at the Portland, Oregon Temple in Lake Oswego, Oregon. The Temple ceremonies are sacred, where couples say not just verbal vows, but make spiritual covenants to love, care and support each other, not just in this life, but for eternity. There is something so meaningful to adding in a spiritual component to your wedding day, however that looks for you. The wedding day is about a celebration of love and families joining together, but it is also about intention. And setting intentions for your marriage should begin well before the alter, but on that sacred day of celebration and union, committing those intentions both in the heart and aloud is something so magical.

And while I didnt get to witness Ashley + Cal setting those intentions with each other, it was obvious when they exited the temple doors. You could see the bliss, the love, the magic in their faces. These two are wed for time and all eternity, and thats a pretty incredible thing to be apart of—come rain or shine.
